Inside Ginnifer Goodwin’s Antique-Filled Hollywood Hills Home

If Ginnifer Goodwin was looking for a home with a celebrity pedigree when she bought her house in the Hollywood Hills back in 2007, well, she found it. The two-bedroom’s roster of former tenants includes actresses Rachel Bilson and Rose McGowan, and Goodwin bought the place from “Cougar Town” star Busy Phillips.

Six years later, she’s a true star in her own right thanks to a five-season stint on “Big Love,” roles in a slew of feature films and a new gig as star of the ABC fantasy series “Once Upon a Time.” Yet, she’s remained in the same house.
“I’m not nomadic by nature,” the actress admits to Elle. “This is my sacred space, my heaven, my oasis. I want, walking in, to feel like it’s the kind of place where people stop by unannounced and it’s hard to get them to leave.”

After moving in, she turned to pal and “Big Love” co-star Jean Tripplehorn for an interior designer recommendation, who turned her on to Amy Kehoe of design firm Nickey Kehoe. Together, Goodwin and Kehoe have shopped for antiques to accent the airy house, picking out one-of-a-kind pieces like a gilded mirror and 150-year-old wallpaper. The actress has also dubbed certain rooms in the house old-fashioned names like the “salon” and “ballroom” and has hung portraits of her great aunt, a one-time vaudeville performer.
